Welcome to Our Orthodontics Blog!

Dr. Dennis Halford and his team of professionals would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our blog. We plan on using this space to keep you updated with news from our office and will also share with you the latest and most exciting happenings in the orthodontics world.

Our office is conveniently located in Sugar Land, Texas. Dr. Halford is one of the friendliest people you could ever meet. He graduated with honors from Texas Tech University and then spent the next six years receiving his D.D.S. Degree at the University of Texas. It was then that Dr. Halford, his wife Lynn and two children moved to Sugar Land in 1982. Dr. Halford is a true sports enthusiast. He has coached soccer, basketball and volleyball and has also been involved with many swim meets in Sugar Land. He is a member of numerous dental/orthodontic organizations including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics, the Texas Orthodontic Foundation and more.

As you probably know, braces are not just for kids anymore. A great many of our patients are adults who wish to perfect their smiles by making use of the newest available techniques. We are excited to offer our patients a wide variety of braces. We have the very popular and revolutionary Invisalign braces which are transparent aligners that gradually move the teeth in proper alignment. No one will even know that you are wearing these braces as they are virtually undetectable. We also use Damon braces. These braces do not use elastic or steel ties but instead they utilize a 'sliding door' technology that is referred to as self-ligation, which allows the wire to slide back and forth within brackets. These braces do not cause as much friction as traditional braces, meaning that they are very comfortable to wear. We also fit patients with ceramic braces as well as with Insignia braces which shortens treatment time.

If you feel that you or your children can benefit from orthodontic care, do not hesitate to give us a call or use the appointment request form we have available on our website. We will schedule an appointment for you so that we can take the necessary photographs and X-rays so that a a proper diagnosis can be made. Dr. Halford will then conduct a brief, but thorough exam. Your options will be explained to you and you will be told how long the treatment will take.

It our goal here at Dr. Halford's office to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Our atmosphere is modern, relaxed and designed to put you at ease the moment you walk through our door. We are excited to meet each new patient and will do everything we can to help you to achieve and maintain a beautiful smile that will make you proud.

Please stop by our blog again as we will be adding more information on a regular basis. Feel free to leave your comments or ask any questions you may have. Thank you for visiting and we hope
